Bracknell Town surprised National League South Hungerford Town in the Berks & Bucks County Senior Cup on Tuesday night with a hard fought 2-1 victory.

There are two clear divisions between the Robins and last seasons beaten finalists but that didn’t appear to show as first Seb Bowerman on 11 minutes and then Jamie McClurg on 28 either side of a terrific goal line clearance from Carl Davies.

Louis Soares pulled one back for Hungerford – who were captained by ex-Robin Diak John on the night – on the half hour mark but a superb rearguard action from Bracknell ensured they were through to face either Slough Town or Wantage Town in the Quarter Finals.
