Every single category at the 2026 Grundon Berkshire Football Awards.
This could be a club you love visiting, it could be a burger, it could be a venue outside of the football club itself. What makes a great matchday experience to you?
Who are the ones that get everyone going after a barren spell, who is it that turns up to cheer on regardless of what’s happening on the pitch.
Grounds Team of the Season aims to honour a group or individual who goes above and beyond for their club, producing a surface fit for football week in week out.
New for 2026! A chance to celebrate those making a difference at our Junior clubs, those who give up countless hours throughout the season.
Hundreds of people across the county give up their time – hundreds of hours a year, to ensure the great game is played by men, women and children. The Volunteer of the Season award aims to highlight those people, their efforts and ensure they are seen.
Some of the imagery we see week in week out of football across Berkshire is utterly stunning and deserves its place in history…which specific images have caught your eye?
We want to see your goals scored across the county, if you think you’ve managed a Gareth Ainsworth or a Trevor Sinclair, or maybe it was a silky bit of skill like an Alessia Russo back heel.
Social media and video might well be stealing our limelight, but at Football in Berkshire we believe the club website is the foundation of everything a local football team does.
Whether it’s an official club account doing incredible work to put their team in the shop window, or an individual making great videos as they follow their club across the country, we want to hear about them all!
There’s a lot of great work being done by clubs and football organisations across the county in their communities and we wanted to highlight those with this award.
We’re looking for those writers, those reporters and those programme contributors who deserve all the plaudits for keeping the great local game alive.
Highlighting the medical professionals and volunteers who patch us up and tell us when, actually, we probably should get off the pitch.
The Gaffer! Loads doing great stuff this season of course and maybe the winner has taken home a bit of silverware, a league title or a cup?
One working on a shoestring, getting the best out of their players, perhaps the Manager of the Season is simply getting a good group of Sunday Leaguers to turn up every week?
We know it can be a bit of a thankless task for our men and women in black but we wouldn’t have a game without them.

This award is chosen by the Football in Berkshire team and awarded to a person as a ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’.

Yes! The awards are taking place at the marvellous Double-Barrelled Brewery in Reading and we’ll have food available. Tickets will be limited but on sale from 18th May. If you’d like to know when, so you don’t miss out, make sure you’ve signed up to our email newsletter here.
Scroll down to the bottom of this article for the nomination form. Before you do that though, here’s what the judging panel are looking for when choosing the shortlist.
What’s the story? Tell us exactly why the person or place should be considered. We hate to get all ‘X Factor journey’ on you but the more detail you can include, the better we can argue for your nominee for the short list.
The sort of details we love to see include things like player awards, goals, clean sheets and any other significant contributions to the footballing community – obviously within the 2025/26 season.
We’ll publish all the nominees for the Berkshire Football Awards as we receive them.

Nominations will be open until midnight on Sunday 10th May 2026.
The Long List will be published on Friday 15th May and the Short List on Monday 18th May at midday.
Once the nomination window has closed, the nominations in each category will be put before a panel of over 20 judges for a decision, the top four announced online and the winners at the awards night on Wednesday 10th June.
We will accept nominations for people out of area, the only prerequisite is that the reason for nomination is that it must be because of an affiliation with a club we cover on Football in Berkshire (a full list is at the bottom of this page). We will present certificates and a trophy to the winners.
What’s next? Look out for the Long List of all the nominations which will be published here and across all our channels by midday on Friday 15th May 2026.
The Short List for each category will then be published at midday on Monday 18th May 2026. At that point, tickets will be made available to attend the awards night at Double-Barrelled Brewery in Reading on the evening of Wednesday 10th June 2026.
