Berkshire’s Step 7 league – the Thames Valley Premier League – has announced its constitution for the 2025/26 season.
The top flight now contains sixteen teams – including reigning champions Westwood Wanderers – with Reading, Slough, Maidenhead and Newbury all represented. A 16 team division suggests that a few games may have to take place midweek with Reading City Reserves, Tadley Calleva Reserves, Wokingham Town and Henley Town all having access to floodlit facilities.
It’s also all change in the lower divisions with Division One being split in two. One division for “first teams” and another for reserve and development sides.
Division One sees AFC Reading, Caversham United, Cookham Dean and Hype Train joining from the East Berks League and Chalfont Wasps heading over from the Hellenic League D
