Jon Underwood takes National League role

Unders returns to Step 2

Former Bracknell Town and Slough Town manager Jon Underwood has made a return to the Enterprise National League.

Enfield Town – who finished 19th of 24 last season in the National League South – have confirmed the appointment of the former Robins boss with an announcement on social media.

Underwood will go into the London side as Assistant Manager under Gavin Macpherson while the club have appointed Jon Nurse as Head of Football Operations.

Writing on social media, Underwood said: “When Gav called this really was a no brainer for me.. A great management team in place already, a talented squad who finished last season really well and the chance to work back in the National League South which is stronger than ever!”

Underwood will come up against former side Slough Town next season as well as former co-manager and team-mate Neil Baker who is on the management team at Farnborough.
