Oxford shift at Step 5 for Combined Counties League Premier Division’s

The Step 5 allocations are out for 2025/26 and when it comes to the Combined Counties League Premier Division North, our biggest takeaway is “a lot more Oxfordshire!”

Kidlington and North Leigh are in after relegation while Abingdon United come up, making life a little easier for the likes of Wallingford & Crowmarsh and Ardley United.

Windsor & Eton are also in the North Division after their title win and will enjoy renewing aqcuintances with the likes of Burnham, Wokingham Town and Abingdon – all sides they faced in a previous life.

Meanwhile Holyport and Burnham will want to quickly get over any missing-the-play-offs hangover.

The South Premier Division is more interesting from a Berkshire perspective as well, the loss of Sandhurst Town has been balanced out by the inclusion of Thatcham Town – down from Step 4 – and Division One play-off winners Eversley & California, they both join Tadley Calleva.

It’s a far from complete division though with three places to be decided. The play-offs for the division have not yet been played with the top five and champions in flux – Jersey Bulls and Redhill are in the middle of a inelligble player wrangle with the FA.

Redhill, Jersey, AFC Whyteleafe, Cobham and Fleet Town could all be in the division next season.
