Jordan Blake is up for a Berkshire Football Award in the category of Manager of the Season (Men’s Game) sponsored by Massage Movements.
The Kestrels manager has overseen a ‘Great Escape’ for his side with a fantastic final night 5-0 win at home in the Combined Counties League Division One.
The nomination we received for the award said: “It’s been a long season for Woodley United but a club and it’s manager have stuck together and achieved something I am sure many thought was unachievable. Aside from the first game of the season, Woodley have been in the relegation zone for the entirety of the 24/25 season, escaping on the last night with a fantastic 5-0 win.
“This has all been achieved with young players who have learned throughout the year – some who will undoubtedly go on to higher levels but have had the tenacity to keep going through a 44 game season.
“Full credit to the manager for creating a side much much better than the table suggests and having the balls and belief to stick with it.”
