Windsor & Eton are the Combined Counties League Division One champions without kicking a ball.
On Wednesday night Brook House – who delayed the Royalists title charge on Saturday with a 1-0 win – handed Windsor the title after drawing 1-1 with nearest challengers Westside.
It means that the chance to win it on the pitch on Saturday when Windsor & Eton and Westside meet at the Wibbandune Sports Ground is a dead rubber with three games to play as the Royalists have a 10 point advantage.

It’s been a nervy few weeks for Matty Angell’s side who have looked like champions elect for much of the season having occupied top spot for much of it, but three defeats in the last four games had put the champagne on ice.
Now though planning can begin following a second promotion in two seasons and another challenge for the side at Step 5.
It’s a first league title for a side named Windsor & Eton since 2010 when the clubs original incarnation won the Southern League South West Division One, the club is certainly on a better footing now to deal with the challenges ahead.
