Slough Town’s first foray in the 2024/25 FA Trophy will be a home tie against familiar Isthmian League Premier Division opposition.

Scott Davies’ side were drawn out for the first time this season thanks to their status as a Vanarama National League South club and will once again play Kent based Chatham Town in an FA competition this season, this time at Arbour Park.

The Chats – who have had a difficult start to the season in the league – but enjoyed a three-game FA Cup run that was only ended by a 3-0 defeat to Slough at the end of September. Slavi Spasov and a Kweku Lucan double ended their hopes.

Chatham have already played twice in this seasons FA Trophy competition, beating Wingate & Finchley 1-0 at home in the Third Qualifying Round and Bowers & Pitsea 1-0 away in the First Round on Saturday, undoubtedly they’ll be looking to put on a better show against their Berkshire opponents.

Slough are the only Berkshire side in the Second Round after Hungerford Town saw a 2-1 lead against Yate Town overhauled, while Maidenhead United and a host of former Football League clubs lie in wait for Second Round winners.
