Spreadsheets checked, results filled in and PPG calculated. The official Football in Berkshire Men’s Team of the Month for September 2024 is..
Actually we’ll build the suspense a little more.
Team of the Month is back. You may recall we attempted to run it last season but weren’t quite organised enough with the data to pull it off month on month. So we’re better organised and have two data sources, including our friends at the excellent NonLeagueHQ on Twitter.
For September, the Team of the Month has been calculated from 55 men’s teams who played in the month of September. There is a separate Women’s Team of the Month after the FA Women’s National League, Southern Region Women’s League and Thames Valley Counties Women’s Football League got off and running.

In the meantime, following an excellent start to the season that has seen them garner a MAXIMUM 3.00 points per game from six fixtures is… Windsor & Eton, making it back to back Team of the Month wins.

The Royalists are newly promoted to Step 6 this season and won all six games in the league and cup in September. NonLeagueHQ tell us The Royalists are on a 12 game winning run.
Thames Valley Premier League Maidenhead Town are second in the Team of the Month table with an identical PPG of 3.00, but have played one game less than Windsor, while East Berks Football League Britwell are third on Goal Difference.
Team of the Month rules
- A team’s performance is measured by points per game (PPG). The Team of the Month calculation includes league AND cup games.
- All matches from the first of the month to the last day of the month are included.
- Teams must have played a reasonable number of games in any given month relative to other teams to qualify for the monthly table. In August this was deemed as more than two.
- If teams are tied on PPG, the following criteria is applied: The team in the PPG tie that has played the most games, followed by Goal Difference (GD) if that is also tied.
- A monthly table will run concurrently alongside an overall season table.
September Goals

In front of goal Hungerford Town’s Ellis Watts is one of three players sharing a four goal haul. The Southern League Premier Division South sides forward hit a hat-trick against Plymouth Parkway in September and he shares the top scorer slot with Reading City’s Ewan Lynch and Wallingford & Crowmarsh’s Caelan Isaac.
Please note: The men’s top scorer chart is based on goals in league matches only.
