The FA have released the constitutions for Tiers 1-6 of the Women’s Football Pyramid for the 2024/25 season and no less than eight sides will feature for Berkshire in the upcoming season. All squads will also be eligible to play in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup.
Barclays Women’s Championship
After a tenth place finish, Reading will once again ply their trade in Tier 2 of the pyramid facing the likes of Southampton, Birmingham City and Charlton Athletic.
This season will mark ten years since the Royals were granted a licence to play in the then FA Women’s Super League 2, a league they would go on to win the following year.
Reading play their home games at the Select Car Leasing Stadium.
Division One South West, Women’s National League
Maidenhead United had an exceptional season with their best ever points and mosts goal scored at the end of the 2023/24 season, topped off by winning the Combined Counties Women’s League Cup.
An eighth place finish means the Magpies will once again battle it out in the increasingly competitive Tier 4.

Premier Division, Southern Region Women’s Football League
Ascot United narrowly missed out on promotion in the 2023/24 season as they went toe for toe with Bournemouth Sports, but it was not to be for the Yellas as the south coast squad eventually clinched the title by a point.
Ascot will no doubt have their eyes set on moving up the pyramid for the 2024/25 season.

Woodley United showed they meant business after being promoted back into the Premier Division for the 2023/24 season with an impressive third place confirmed.
They will no doubt be looking to challenge for the title alongside neighbours Ascot United for the 2024/25 season.

Division One North, Southern Region Women’s Football League
A respectable ninth placed finish for Ascot United Reserves in their first season in Tier 6 and will be wanting to build on their impressive climb through the divisions.

Caversham United
Whilst the 2023/24 season was tumultuous for Caversham United with a small squad sometimes marred by injuries, the Goats clinched a vital three points against relegation rivals and fellow Berkshire squad Eversley & California in their final home game of the season to finish with nine points each on the board.
The Goats have been awarded a reprieve and will remain in Tier 6 for the 2024/25 season.

Eversley & California
The Boars will be hoping for an uptick in the 2024/25 season as the previous saw them struggle to field a team, however they did just enough to secure another season at Tier 6.

Slough Town
Slough Town will play in Tier 6 for the first time in their history having successfully climbed through the divisions in Tier 7 in the Thames Valley Counties Women’s Football League.
Whilst they came fourth in Division One, the Rebels put in a successful bid to move up the pyramid for the 2024/25 season.
