Burnham FC are have been nominated once again for a Berkshire Football Award in the category of Match Day Experience.

The Blues won the award last year so are aiming for back-to-back wins – but can they do it with some stiff competition this season.

One nomination for the award said: “The moment you arrive to a warm welcome from Paul at the gate to buying a beer and a burger (which are amazing) from the Michelle’s in the bar, the Matchday experience at Burnham is fantastic, The team play a very watchable brand of football led by Ben and his coaching team and if you want to see goals then the 1878 stadium is definitely the place. You’ll often see the Chairman Glenn on Matchday interacting with the crowd around the pitch talking football and giving his thoughts on the game. Overall it’s a great place to watch a game of football and a worthy nomination for the Matchday experience award again.”

Another added: “This is our second season ground sharing at The 1878 Stadium and the experience for us has been second to none! Not only are the facilities well placed and well kept, they more than adequate to suit the needs of players and supporters alike the staff at Burnham are irreplaceable! The 2 main hosts of Burnham, Michelle and Michele are warm, welcoming and where possible always happy to accomodate needs, which makes all the difference as you navigate a busy Season of football! Both Paul and Glenn keep the pitch in pristine condition and put a lot of hours and work in behind the scenes to keep things running like clockwork. When you arrive at the 1878 stadium you instantly know that you are going to enjoy the match, in comfort and in good company, because everyone at The 1878 stadium truly cares about this beautiful game!”

Another simply said: “Best match day experience in the area and it’s all thanks to the fantastic team there. Glen, Paul, Michelle and Michelle.”
