A favourite of Sunday Leaguers, five-a-sider’s and cloggers like yours truly, Goals Reading is a popular place for training, leagues and competitive action.

The Woodley-based venue though is undergoing a little bit of a transformation at the moment as you can see from the Instagram video below. The Estadio Da Luz pitch is being torn up – much like many full-sized counterparts this summer.

The company – which has venues up and down the country – revealed on Insta that five of the venues hallowed five-aside pitches were being relaid.

A post said: “Pitch Works have begun. This week we are relaying 5 x 5-aside pitches to make the playing experience the best we can for our customers.”

Don’t worry, the venue is still open and accepting bookings but availability will be limited for the time being.
