Sandhurst Town striker Jake White is hanging up his boots following a second serious injury in quick succession.
The 29-year-old forward confirmed the news in a Twitter post following an ACL and Meniscus injury in the recent Fizzers fixture against London Samurai Rovers.
White said: “And just like that it’s the end! It’s been a rollercoaster but I’ve enjoyed it!! Massive thank you to everyone who’s coached me along the way! Matt Eggleston and Dan Bateman thank you guys for bringing the best out in me in a Wokingham shirt and making it so enjoyable!”

Last year saw White out for nine months while with Wokingham & Emmbrook after rupturing his achilles and this latest injury means the former Bracknell Town and Binfield man has decided to hang up his boots.
White made his senior football debut at Bracknell as a right back under Steve McClurg following the clubs relegation to the Hellenic League Premier Division.

Until then he had been a forward with Woodley Saints and Woodley Hammers and was picked up to join the Robins Allied Counties side which enjoyed a brilliant FA Youth Cup run to the First Round in 2010 and an away day at Torquay United.
He moved back into the centre forward role under Steve Nebbett and Danny Oliphant at Bracknell with the Robins in the Hellenic League Division One East, and there he stayed before moving on to Binfield and having a long spell with Wokingham at Steps 5 and 6.
This season he moved on to Sandhurst where he’d continued his excellent scoring rate with eight goals in nine games.
The Football in Berkshire team would like to wish Jake all the very best for the future, he’ll certainly be missed by us on the pitch but, we suspect not by opposition defenders!
