Reading City's Rivermoor ground suffered a break in and vandalism on Tuesday night.

Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division North side Reading City have had their ground vandalised.

The Rivermoor was, according to a social media post by the club, broken into on Tuesday night with the changing rooms trashed and pipe work stolen.

City – who played their first home league game of the season on Tuesday night – had members of their club arrive on site on Wednesday morning to find the damage, with water left running.

City manager Simon Johnson summed it up on Twitter: “Honestly. Repeat occurrence. Absolute scum of the earth.”

If you have any information on the break-in, please head to the Thames Valley Police website here and quote reference number 20220914 – 0458.
