Reading FC Women youngster Freya Meadows-Tuson has been nominated for a Berkshire Football Award in the Since71 Blog Young Player of the Season (Female) category.
The nomination received for Freya said: “Freya is an unbelievably talented player. She currently plays for Reading FC Women U16s, Berkshire Schools FA U16s, England U17s as well as her school side Maiden Erlegh U16s (and U18s). She has played for both the girl’s and boys’ sides at school right through the age groups and has been an inspiration to all the girls at school who love football and they all look up to her. This year she has become the school’s record goalscorer – not a bad achievement for a centre back and has been an ever-present in her 5 years at secondary school.
“She now voluntarily coaches Laurel Park U9s and U10s sides to give back and pass on her expertise to the next generation of female football players.”
