Wokingham & Emmbrook youngster Daniel Harris has picked up a Berkshire Football Awards nomination in the Rural Pie Co Young Player of the Season (Male) category.
Harris is the latest in a long line of impressive Wokingham youngsters knocking on the door of Eliot Whitehouse’s first team.
The nomination we received said: “Daniel has been the bedrock of Wokingham & Emmbrook Reserve and Allied Football Teams, he was only 16 when the season started and is now 17. To compete in the Suburban League which has a Step 6 parity has been nothing short of remarkable his tenacity and strength and his quality on the ball belie his looks – he looks only 12 years of age. Daniel also played a game at Step 5 and will undoubtedly follow his older brother Josh into the Sumas first-team at some point. A fantastic young man to coach, a star in the making.”
Do you think Daniel is a worthy winner, or have you got other strikes to tell us about? Scroll down to fill out the nomination form for the Eddie Stobart Player of the Season (Female) award.
