It could be an almost Berkshire Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Division One play-off final after Wallingford Town won their semi-final on Tuesday night.

Wally beat Rayners Lane 2-0 at Hithercroft thanks to goals from Callum Young after 2 minutes and Lawrence Aitchinson on the hour.

The win puts the Oxfordshire side into Saturday’s final for a place at Step 5 next season where they will face either Eversley & California or Hilltop.

Hilltop finished runners up to runaway leaders London Lions and will host fifth-placed Eversley at the Middlesex Stadium in Ruislip on Wednesday evening.

Also on Tuesday night, Chalvey Sports lost their Esoteric Recordings Combined Counties League Cup tie at home to British Airways 6-0 while Woodley United play their tie with BA on Saturday.
