Daniel Pringle has picked up a Berkshire Football Awards nomination in the Berks County FC Outstanding Contribution To Local Football category.
Daniel is involved with Laurel Park FC, a boys and girls club in Lower Earley, and is a PE teacher at a local school.
The nomination we received for Daniel said: “Daniel is committed to giving young people the opportunity to play football and love the game. He voluntarily runs the Laurel Park FC U10 Diamondz and Starz sides. In August 2021, they had a squad of 7 players, and at the time of writing, this had grown to two squads of 19 players due to his emphasis on fun and teamwork in his sessions. He is also a local PE teacher at Maiden Erlegh School and takes numerous school teams to countless fixtures across each year. He has really pushed girls football at school and this year the school pledged that all girls would have equal opportunities to play football as the boys going forwards. On top of this, he also runs the Berkshire School’s FA U16 girls football side and has done for the past 4 years. He coached the very best girls in the county and pitches them against opposition from up and down the country.”
