Things come in three’s don’t they, Reading FC Women won 3-0 at the weekend and now they have three players in the official Barclays FA WSL team of the week.

Chosen by former England international Sue Smith, Royals saw Deanne Rose and goalscorers Tash Dowie and Rachel Rowe included in the eleven.

The win at home to Aston Villa was Reading’s first of the season after opening with four straight defeats and a much-needed boost ahead of Wednesday’s Continental Cup tie at home to Bristol City.

The trio are in good company with players from Leicester City, Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City, Birmingham City and Chelsea.

Rose in particular has been a stand-out performer for Reading so far this season, playing four times for the Royals since the Canadian international joined from Florida Gators in the summer.

Rowe meanwhile scored a ‘trademark thunderbolt’ you can watch below and made a trio of ‘team of the weeks’ as pointed out by the Reading Chronicle’s Ben Waite including the @FAWSLFT and @HerFootballHub.
