On Wednesday evening, the draw was released for the opening two rounds of the Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Challenge Cup with 27 fixtures drawn and byes handed to five sides including Ascot United and Windsor.
There are no ‘true’ Berkshire derbies in the First Round though there is Football in Berkshire interest in one game – Virginia Water vs Reading City while Berks County’s first game in the competition will be at home to Bagshot.
Other Berkshire sides at home include AFC Aldermaston who host Fleet Town while Wokingham & Emmbrook bring AFC Croydon Athletic to Lowther Road and FC Deportivo Galicia head to The Rivermoor to face Woodley United.
The Second Round draw throws up some exciting ties as well, none more so than Wokingham & Emmbrook at home to Ascot if the Sumas can get past Croydon.
