Striker Ben Harris looks set to return to the Slough Town squad as the Rebels make the trip to Chippenham Town in the Vanarama National League South on Saturday.
The match, the third attempt to play the tie, will be Slough’s first in nearly two weeks after Covid enforced cancellations, but co-boss Jon Underwood has confirmed Harris will return in his latest team news release.
The Rebels had a tough few weeks prior to the enforced break, suffering four straight defeats, but writing on the Slough website, Underwood said he and his side were looking forward to the challenge: “We have worked hard during this break and are determined to put some wins on the board. It’s a tough week coming up with trips to Chippenham, Havant and Hampton but it’s a challenge we look forward to and the management and players have full belief that we can turn around our fortunes.”
Harris had been a long term absentee having been out since the opening game of the season and the other bit of good news was that Jack McKnight was ready to return, though Underwood said: “Jack McKnight who also returns to the squad tomorrow, but we will continue to be careful with him due to his sciatica problem.”
Missing for the trip will be Mark Nisbet (hamstring) and Cam McGilp (ankle), both are looking at two to three weeks out.
