Well it’s been a long time coming but we can finally reveal the winner of the September Football in Berkshire goal of the month competition.
Our guest judge for the month was Maidenhead United’s Josh Kelly who ranked the goals from Abi Canvin, Elliott Legg, Ian Davies and James Richardson for us before we combined those rankings with the public vote.
A reminder though first of all the nominees:

So having combined the two results, we’re delighted to reveal the October Goal of the Month was scored by Ascot United striker Ian Davies in the Yellamen’s win over Frimley Green on 15th September.
Kelly, scorer of the odd spectacular goal himself, commented on each of the goals
Abi Canvin (Slough Town Ladies): Great feet and a wonderful finish
Elliott Legg (Binfield): Great strike for first time, head over the ball and a lovely connection
Ian Davies (Ascot United): He’s put a great deal of bend on that, excellent technique and unsaveable
James Richardson (Ascot United): The pick of some great goals for me, one touch to set himself up and a great hit with his left foot into the top corner
