Our new segment for the Berkshire women’s game, each week we’ll highlight three games to look out for ahead of Sunday’s games.

1. Milton United Ladies vs Eversley & California Ladies

Thames Valley Counties Women’s Football League Division 1

Having played and won a game each, it’s all square as we approach game week three.

Milton slotted an impressive nine goals home against Wargrave in their opening fixture whilst Eversley & California were away to City Belles and nabbed eight with a hat-trick from Katie Hougham.

Milton sit second in the table, whilst Eversley & California are in third with a goal difference of two separating the teams.

Potash Lane, OX13 6AG, Sunday, 2pm. Please check with the host club before travelling.

2. Caversham AFC Women vs Wargrave Women Development

Thames Valley Counties Women’s Football League Division 3 South

Two losses in two by both sides so a bottom of the table scrap so to speak as we enter week three of the season.

Caversham will be keen to get their goal scoring efforts off the mark whilst Wargrave’s top goalscorer, for the 2019/20 season, Carla Schaenzler will no doubt be wanting to open her account.

Clayfield Copse, RG4 6AA, Sunday, 2pm. Please check with the host club before travelling.

3. AFC Henley Ladies vs Wraysbury Village Ladies

Thames Valley Counties Women’s Football League Development Division

Just a point separates the pair in week three of the development division fixtures. Both sides are sitting top three with Wraysbury in second and Henley in third.

Henley certainly looking impressive on their debut season, whilst Wraysbury continue to impress having finished second last year before the season was ended with a sensational 16 goals in nine appearances for Sarah Bright.

With just two games played the division already certainly looks to be competitive for the year ahead.

Jubilee Park, RG9 4HA, Sunday, 2pm. Please check with the host club before travelling.

Good luck to all the teams in action today across the county. You can see the full list of women’s fixtures for Sunday here.
