Manny Williams joins Hellenic League side as co-manager

Former Slough Town striker Manny Williams has been confirmed as the joint-manager of Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division Burnham after departing the Rebels.

The experienced Williams made 111 appearances for Slough scoring 23 goals and was part of the Rebels side that won promotion to the Vanarama National league South in 2018.

The move was confirmed by the clubs Twitter account on Wednesday: “We are delighted to announce that Manny Williams has joined Ashleigh James’ management team. Manny comes with huge experience having played for the likes of Slough Town, Maidenhead United and Basingstoke Town and will be a huge asset for the club.”

As wells as locally, Williams also has experience at Notts County and Millwall and a number of clubs including Bowers United, Concord Rangers, Leyton and Yeading.

Burnham – who appointed former Thatcham Town midfielder Ashleigh James in July following the departure of Paul Shone – finished seventh in the Premier Division last season, their first back at step 5 following promotion from Division One East.
