Former Sandhurst Town manager Luke Turkington has a new job just days after confirming his departure from Bottom Meadow.

Turkington has been installed as the new manager of Combined Counties League Premier Division side Farnham Town – though the club will likely be a Division 1 side next season after finishing bottom of the league.

It’s fair to say Farnham endured a miserable season in 2017/18, picking up just five points in 2018 and were without a league victory since winning 1-0 at Colliers Wood United on 8th November.

Turkington will join the club having guided Sandhurst to 8th and 4th place finishes in two seasons in the Uhlsport Hellenic League Division 1 East and enjoying a brief run in the FA Vase where they were knocked out in the First Round Proper by Plymouth Parkway.

Turkington will take over from Emmanuel Boudine who we understand from the clubs twitter feed had ‘stepped in at such short notice during such a difficult time for the club on the pitch’. The new managers first job will undoubtedly be to restore Farnham to the Premier Division that they had been part of for seven seasons.
