After having fixtures disrupted by the weather and cup competitions in recent weeks all Football in Bracknell’s local Step 6 sides are involved in league matches this weekend.

In the Hellenic Division One East there is a Berkshire derby at Summerleaze Village as Holyport square off against Wokingham & Emmbrook. Port have been inconsistent in the league of late taking 7 points from their 5 games since the start of December, but they did record an impressive victory at league leaders Burnham in the Floodlit Cup in midweek.

The Sumas have no new injury concerns, but they will again be without Joe Cummuskey and Sam Lawrence, both of whom are in contention to return to the team next week.

Woodley United face a tough task in extending their recent good league form when they face Burnham at Scours Lane. The Kestrels have not lost in the league since the beginning of December when Burnham defeated them 5-1 in the reverse fixture.

The Blues have faced Berkshire opposition three times already in 2019 and they are yet to record a win. Woodley will be hoping to extend that run on Saturday.

AFC Aldermaston are also at home as they take on bottom of the table Chinnor to the Rec Soc. The Atom Men have only played 1 league game in 8 weeks and have fallen to 3rd in the table as a result.

A win on Saturday will see them climb back to 2nd in the table. Chinnor haven’t picked up a point in the league since early September and Aldermaston recorded a 5-0 victory when the two sides met earlier this season.

One side who will be hoping that the Atom’s slip up against Chinnor are Wallingford Town, who sit 2 points behind them in the table. Wally host Milton United at the Hithercroft on Saturday, having recorded a good win over Hellenic Premier opposition, Virginia Water, in the Reading Senior Cup on Tuesday.

Milton are enjoying their best run of the season, being undefeated in 6 games, so they will be tough opponents for Wallingford.

In the Combined Counties League Division One Matt Angel has had a tough start to his tenure as Eversley & California manager. The two fixtures he has presided over so far have both been against teams in the top 7 in the table and, despite some good moments, his side have not picked up any points.

He will be hoping to end that run this weekend when the Boars welcome the league’s bottom side, Cove, to the ESA Ground. Cove have 10 points from 19 league games but did pick up a win in their last game at home to Fleet Spurs.

Sandhurst Town make the trip into West London to face FC Deportivo Galicia. The Fizzers will be looking to bounce back after suffering a 3-0 defeat at the hands of the league leaders, Frimley Green last weekend.

Deportivo currently sit 16th in the league, two points off the bottom, and have only won once in their last 9 games. Sandhurst will be looking for a win to keep them in contention for a top 6 place in the Combined Counties Division One.

As ever, if you are heading to a game this weekend, please check with the host club before you travel.
