Bracknell Town make Bobby Wilkinson announcement

Southern League Premier Division South Bracknell Town have made an announcement concerning the future of manager Bobby Wilkinson.

Chairman Kayne-Steinborn-Busse released a statement on Tuesday morning confirming the departure of the former Hungerford Town and Weymouth manager following four straight league defeats.

The former boss had only been in charge for five games since the departure of Jon Underwood – although that did include victory in the Berks & Bucks County Cup Final.

Underwood’s final game was a defeat to Chertsey Town that means it’s five straight defeats and Bracknell now face a nervous final day of the season as they look to avoid relegation – although it would take a slightly unlikely set of results for that to happen.

The full Bracknell Town statement reads: “After a face-to-face meeting this morning between Chairman Kayne Steinborn-Busse and Bobby Wilkinson, it was mutually agreed that Bobby will step down from his position as First Team Manager of Bracknell Town FC with immediate effect.

“Kayne will follow up this statement with further details regarding future plans for the management team at the club as soon as possible.”

Update: Bracknell Town have now appointed Wilkinson’s replacement
