Bracknell Town’s knew chairman Andy Hunt has released a statement following the departure of manager Jordan Ive and several players.

Earlier on Friday a club official had confirmed ex-Reading FC captain Alex Pearce would lead the team on a caretaker basis with Hunt saying the team was in ‘very capable hands’.

Players to depart include Jordan Esprit and Great Evans, but the club have moved to appoint Pearce who will be assisted by Max Herbert and Adam Richards, and aim to have a new manager appointed by next week.

In a statement on the Bracknell Town website, Hunt wrote: Dear Bracknell Town FC Supporters,

As many of you are aware, we can confirm that Jordan Ive has stepped down from his role as first-team manager. We would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his hard work and dedication during his time with us and wish him and those of his supporting staff that also departed, the very best for the future.

While we are in the process of finding a new manager to lead the club forward, we want to assure our fans that the team remains in very capable hands. The squad is fully prepared and focused on the upcoming fixtures, with Alex Pearce, Max Herbert and Adam Richards stepping up to guide the players through this transitional period. We have a talented and committed group of players, and we are confident that they will continue to give their all on the pitch.

Now, more than ever, the team needs your support. Your presence at the games means everything to the players and staff, and we urge you to turn up in numbers for our next match. Let’s create an atmosphere that shows the strength of the Robins community and pushes them to perform at their best.

We understand that change can sometimes bring uncertainty. As with any change in circumstances, decisions have been made individually and collectively and as a direct result, there are players who have chosen to leave the club or been approached by other clubs. We will send out official communications in the coming days to confirm which players have moved on, we wish them all the best for the future.

As fans of this great club and with your backing, we know we can continue to build on the hard work and progress made this season and in the past as we complete our search for a new manager.

Thank you for your unwavering support and loyalty. Together, we move forward as one.
