Virginia Water announce management departure

Surrey side have enjoyed a strong start to the season

Combined Counties League Premier Division North Virginia Water have confirmed the departure of the clubs management team.

The Stag Meadow based side have enjoyed a strong start to their season winning five of the opening eight matches including an impressive 3-2 come back win at Holyport.

Posting on the clubs social media, chairman Dave McBride wrote: “It is with regret that VWFC confirm the departure of manager, Adam Bessent, and Assistant Manager, Jake Bessent, with immediate effect.

“They brought professionalism and calmness to their roles, and I will always be grateful for their commitment and hard work, culminating in our reaching the Surrey Senior Cup Final for the first time in our history, and a respectable 7th place finish.

“They depart with our very best wishes for the future.”
