Windsor & Eton aiming for huge ‘homecoming’ audience

Newly formed Thames Valley Premier League side Windsor & Eton are aiming for an enormous ‘homecoming’ crowd for the club’s debut fixture at Stag Meadow.

We’re a while away from knowing the TVPL fixtures for next season, but the new club will play their first home game on either the 12th or 19th August, setting an ambitious attendance target of 1,000 for that match.

Making the opening fixture more enticing will be the news that the club will not charge an entry fee for any games at Stag Meadow during the 2023/24 season.

New Windsor & Eton kit

One of the big questions received by Football in Berkshire during the opening months of the new club was ‘what happens to the Union Jack kit’.

The simple answer is that kit remains with Windsor FC in the Combined Counties League. The new club have now launched their own shirt for the season – with one nod to the past in Thames Motor Group remaining the principle sponsor of the Windsor team playing out of Stag Meadow.
