Combined Counties League Division One Woodley United have made a swift confirmation of their managerial status for the 2023/24 season.

Jordan Blake, who led the Kestrels to a 13th place finish this season after joining from Marlow last summer, will continue in his role as First Team manager.

Woodley’s season and final placing was arguably the club’s strongest since relegation from the Hellenic League Premier Division in 2018.

A statement released by the club said: “Season 2022-23 saw the team achieve its highest finishing position for five years and compete with success against teams finishing above them. Without doubt the foundations are in place to compete for a play-off position this coming season.”

Blake himself wrote on Twitter: “Delighted to announce I will continue as first team manager next season. Pleased to have things sorted – looking forward to a big season ahead as a group. Thanks to the board & directors for their support you’ve been brilliant from day one.”
