“I may have found them” – boost for Windsor FC as chairman provides update

Royalists dropped into the CCL bottom two on Tuesday night

Windsor FC may have found new owners according to a post by Chairman and owner Kevin Stott on Twitter.

Unrest off the pitch has come to the fore in recent weeks with one Royalists supporter writing an open letter to Stott urging him to sell the club, who play in the grounds of Windsor Great Park.

As well as off the pitch, the club have slipped into the bottom two of the Combined Counties League Premier Division North after Wokingham & Emmbrook beat Oxhey Jets 2-0 on Tuesday night.

Stott wrote on Social Media: “I have been exploring an opportunity with new potential owners who are incredibly successful entrepeneurs, and who want to invest into this club in a way that would make the community proud. They are humble and thoughtful and want to do the right thing by all stakeholders.

“I always said I would hand over the reins if I found new owners, and I am excited that I may have found them. I look forward to sharing more in a future update.”
