Newly promoted Thames Valley Premier League Premier Division side Reading YMCA have reappointed former boss Karl Curtis to the clubs management team.

Curtis previously spent five seasons at the Cauldron with the Young Men and will join the management team of Mark Lemm and Stuart Cripps.

A statement by the club said: “We are delighted to announce that Karl Curtis is returning to Reading YMCA FC. Karl previously enjoyed a 5 year spell with the club that included 3 consecutive Premier Division titles. Karl will join the management team alongside Mark Lemm & Stuart Cripps.”

YMCA were promoted in the summer after winning division one to mark a return to step 7 of the English Football Pyramid after taking voluntary relegation in 2018.

The club is one of the most successful TVPL sides of the last decade, winning the Premier (or Senior Division as part of the Reading Senior League) five times between 2013 and 2018.
