New Chalvey Sports boss Darren Purbrick has announced his management team for the 2021/22 season.

The Uhlsport Hellenic League Division One East side promoted Purbrick from Assistant Manager earlier this month after confirming Matty Young was to step down.

Via the clubs social media account, the Stabmonks revealed Adam Barnard and Craig McCreeth would join him at the East Berkshire side.

Those names will be familiar to many, Purbrick was assistant manager at Finchampstead and Woodley United where Barnard was a player, and latterly a coach, while McCreeth was a goalkeeper at Woodley and additionally Reading FC Women goalkeeper coach.

A statement by the Stabmonks said: “Darren, Craig and Adam give us great experience at this level and we would all like to offer a warm welcome to the new members of Darren’s management team.”

Chalvey aren’t the only Division One East club making changes, with Woodley themselves having appointed Christian Parker to the top job last week.
