AFC Aldermaston’s Hellenic League fixture off after Covid-19 scare

Uhlsport Hellenic League Division One East side AFC Aldermaston’s league trip to Milton United on Saturday has been postponed due to a Covid-19 scare.

The Atom Men, who played Woodley United on Tuesday night, tweeted the news on Thursday with the match and training sessions at the Rec Soc all cancelled as a precaution.

The club tweeted: “Saturday’s game away to Milton United is postponed due to a potential COVID-19 scare within our 1st team squad. League Officials, Opposition and Match Officials informed.”

According to the FA’s Full Time website, 107 people watched Tuesday night’s 4-1 defeat at the Kestrels but there is currently no suggestion of any issues, and Woodley operated full track and trace protocols on entry to the ground.
