Combined Counties League Division 1 side Eversley & California have appointed a replacement for Ellis Woods.

Woods left the club in December having originally come across to Fox Lane from Binfield Reserves in the summer.

Eversley & California chairman Ross Allston posted on the club website that former boss Matt Angel would take over the reigns with Ashley Cunningham joining him as first team coach.

Allston said on the clubs website: “Matt brings vast experience at our level and his work with the Basinstoke Town FC development programme means our player pathway will continue. He will now focus on the first team in the Combined Counties Football League Division 1.

On Cunningham, Allston said: “Ash comes from the very successful Welsh Guards Football background and is now working through his FA coaching badges at the highest level. With great experience and a professional attitude, his attributes will give our players a great new focus on being as professionally prepared as possible for our challenges ahead.”

The Boars are 14th of 18 in the division at the time of writing and are without a point in their last three games.

Angel has wasted no time in freshening up the squad with four new players signed on at Fox Lane.
