Rob Creech has called time on his role as manager at Hellenic League Premier Division Reading City.
His side lost 3-0 at Abingdon United on Tuesday night, three days after giving promotion hopefuls Wantage Town a fright.
Creech tweeted that he had stepped down on Wednesday morning. He said: “This morning I have resigned as manager Reading City. I wish the club and players all the best for the season”

City started the season in sensational fashion but in recent weeks have seen several important players including striker Mitchell Parker depart, while Creech’s co-manager Andy Findlay intially stepped down before returning as Director of Football.
Creech’s side were impressive in a 4-3 win against Royal Wootton Bassett Town in the Hellenic League but have since suffered four defeats after a 4-0 win over Berks County in the Reading Senior Cup.
Update: Reading City have confirmed who will be in charge for Saturday’s fixture
