In a turn of events of which I am sure will shock many, Windsor FC have tweeted this morning that Mick Woodham has left his role as First Team Manager.

Last year was a first season in the Uhlsport Hellenic League for Windsor and Woodham guided the side to a very respectable eighth place finish and one upon which we thought the club would build on this coming year.

In addition, Windsor reached the Quarter Finals of the Buildbase FA Vase before losing to finalists Stockton Town.

Speaking to the Windsor Observer, Woodham said “You will not get many better clubs at this level than Windsor and it was the dream job for me but, for my own sanity and the people close to me as well, it was for the best. I can no longer tolerate the Chairman and don’t want to work for him.”

More on this story can be found on the Windsor Observer website.
