Finchampstead FC to pay tribute to ‘great man’ Nick Markham

Nick Markham was the club secretary at Finchampstead Football club from 2002 until recently, writes Adam Barnard.

Very sadly, Nick passed away on the 2nd February after he was diagnosed with Cancer in late in 2017. Finchampstead FC would like to pay tribute to a great man ‪on the 8th April‬.

Nick played a huge part in taking a club with 10 teams and 120 members to 25 teams and 320 members – and we would love to pay tribute to him and say thank you.

One side will be managed by close friend Jon Laugharne and the other by his son George Markham, featuring ex Finchampstead first team players, family and friends.

‪From 12:30pm there will be a host of activities from an inflatable dartboard competition, Bubble football and Nerf Wars, not forgetting the BBQ (weather permitting).‬

We would love to see as many of you down there to celebrate Nick’s life and what he did for the community and would like to extend our thanks to the team at www.bubble-Football.co.uk for supporting the day.
