UPDATED: Thatcham Town have contacted us and say: “Gareth has stepped down as co-manager but has agreed to stay on as a player and isn’t going any where. Danny Robinson is in charge along with Keith Pennicott-Bowen as his coach.”

The original story..

Newbury Today are reporting that Thatcham Town Co-Manager Gareth Thomas has resigned following discussions with Chairman Eric Bailey following last weekend’s Emirates FA Cup exit at home to Bracknell Town.

Co-Manager Danny Robinson has been left in charge for Tuesday’s match at Tuffley Rovers whilst Thomas has been linked with a playing move to either Marlow or AFC Totton.

The full story can be found here.

They are also reporting that the Kingfishers are hoping to seal a 28 day loan for Hungerford Town goalkeeper Paul Strudley and we believe this has been successful with Strudley appearing on the FA Full Time system as a Thatcham player and he was not included in Hungerford’s squad today.
