As soon as the football season ends, the rumour mill concerning player movements goes into overdrive and this summer is no exception.

We’ve heard plenty of rumours of players joining or departing our local Uhlsport Hellenic League clubs but it’s not fair for us to report what are currently merely rumours.

We do have our first confirmed departure however with goalkeeper Garry Aulsberry confirming via his Facebook page that he is leaving Bracknell Town.

It is our understanding that he was notified by manager Mark Tallentire of his desire to make a goalkeeping change for the coming season.

Aulsberry joined in October 2014 and made 27 appearances that season being voted man of the match seven times.

At the end of that 2014-15 season he was rewarded at the presentation evening being voted Players Player of the Year whilst he shared the Supporters Player of the Year award with Shane Cooper-Clark with the two unable to be separated after over 60 votes were cast.

Last season he was the most used player featuring in 53 matches.

We have a good idea where Aulsberry will end up and also who will replace him at Larges Lane but we prefer to deal with facts so won’t elaborate on that just yet.

To his credit, Gaz thanked Bracknell Town for his time there and wished the club well for next season.

A classy operator, we here at FootballinBracknell wish him all the best for next season.
