What does Tadley-Calleva mean to me?
First and foremost, Tadley-Calleva is a community, a community of people that have grown up both playing at watching the club from a young age. This drives real passion throughout the club, from the coaches, players and club officials in the youth section, right through to the vets team who still pull on the yellow and black of their beloved hometown club, something the majority have done for well over 25 years.
For me, personally, Tadley-Calleva encapsulates the above and much more. From the age of 7, I was playing for the club, all the way through to Under 16’s and then to the senior sides (although never reaching the heights of the first team). Now, as a member of the committee, I can continue to help in driving the club forward, but from a different angle.
Outside of football, the club has given me so much more, a purpose and a sense of belonging after ‘hanging up my boots’.
I love this club for many reasons, but the spirit of the club, the community and the local people that surround it makes it even more wonderful to be a part of. We are proud people of the town and the people of the town continue to be proud of their team, at that means everything to the club & myself.
