Joe Grant: ‘The boys stuck it out and we deserved the win’

Our man Mark Pugh talks to the scorer of the first goal for Bracknell Town – indeed the first senior men’s goal at all, at the newly refurbished Larges Lane on Tuesday night Joe Grant.

It was Caroline Paterson for the Ladies on Sunday, but in terms of the senior men’s side the first goal fell to the feet of Grant who held off a Binfield defender to open the scoring in a 3-2 win for Bracknell.

Grant described the game and pitch as: “Perfect, everything was perfect. It was enjoyable and the players were going for it and to get the first goal is what it’s all about.

“The boys stuck it out tonight and we deserved the win.” he continued.
