Episode eight of Berkshire Football Stories charts the rise of Binfield Football Club, from a village side in the now defunct Chiltonian League to Hellenic League Premier Division mainstays.
Rob Jones was running a junior side in the village and helped, along with Bobby Ellis bring his team and Binfield’s senior club together in 2001 which really, is where the story of modern day Binfield Football Club begins.
In the latest podcast, Rob talks about bringing the clubs together, the obstacles he faced and how the club eventually got its floodlights and stand, paving the way for the gradual and continual improvements at the ground since.
