It’s been a great week for ‘scran’ at Berkshire’s non-league football clubs with Hungerford Town’s burgers making the National press and now Reading City’s Chinese selection box going viral.
Priced at £12.99, the tray – as taste tested by the Berkshire Football Stories podcast team this week and referenced by TalkSport – is great value on the terraces.
UPDATE: This was a joke/hoax, it’s now real

The issue we can foresee in the replies to the tweet is the number of people expecting to see the offer at EFL Championship Reading FC rather than Combined Counties League Reading City.
If you’d like to place an order pre-match, you can do so here.
Hungerford Town’s burger is the REAL deal
No messing about here, Hungerford Town boast their burger is the best in the Vanarama National League South and feedback, as well as a piece in the Non-League Paper suggests the hype is true.

The Crusaders great value burger is part of the clubs Four For A Score promotion that includes food, a match ticket, programme and beer for £20.
Hungerford are at home on Saturday, as are Reading City. Fixture details here.
