A team of Bracknell Town Legends will face a Football in Berkshire XI in a charity match raising money for Heart Research UK on Sunday 19th April 2020.
The ‘Heart Research UK Cup Final’ will take place at Binfield Football Club’s Hill Farm Lane ground and has been organised by Will Hardy as part of his fundraising drive ahead of running the 2020 London Marathon.
Will chose the charity, and will run the marathon in memory of Darrell Freeland – Football in Berkshire’s co-founder and much missed legend of the non league game.
Darrell – who was a Robins supporter and former secretary at Larges Lane sadly passed away in April 2019. Will said: “I’m running the London Marathon and all proceeds go towards Heart Research UK. I’m running in memory of Darrell Freeland.”
As well as the match, on the day pop up stalls, face painting, cupcakes, bouncy castle, kids coaching sessions and a raffle will be on site.
