Isuzu FA Vase

The Isuzu FA Vase tournament is a national competition for Step 5 and Step 6 (Combined Counties League) clubs. Berkshire clubs have often flown the flag well in the competition with Thatcham Town winning the competition in the 2017/18 season in a 1-0 win (a penalty scored by Shane Cooper-Clark, ’24) over Stockton Town. Binfield then took the reins when they reached the final in the Covid affected 2020/21 season but eventually lost out 3-2 (two goals from Liam Ferdinand, ’42, ’67) to Warrington Rylands. The 2022/23 season saw Ascot United shine the light on Berkshire as they secured the title against holders Newport Pagnell in a 1-0 feat (goal from Kai Walters, ’79). Aldermaston, Berks County, Holyport, Reading City, Sandhurst Town, Tadley Calleva, Windsor & Eton, Woodley United, Wokingham Town are represent Berkshire in the competition.
