Berks County have signed a new goalkeeper ahead of their 2017/18 Thames Valley Premier Division campaign according to the clubs website.
Shot stopper Tom Williams has joined the step 7 club from Ipswich based Capel Plough and is expected to take the number one shirt for the season at the John Nike Stadium
Plough finished 11th in the Suffolk & Ipswich League (also step 7) last season.
Williams signature fills an obvious gap for County who found the goalkeeping position a problem area last season with regular enforced changes.

Speaking about the signing, new County manager Robert Hunter said: “Good quality goalkeepers are hard to come by and Tom is certainly one who fits into that bracket. In a short trial he was able to make this a very straight forward decision and I am certain he will be a very good addition to the squad this season.”
It looks set to be a busy summer for the Swords after losing Nathan Baker and Zak Spencer to Ascot United’s youth team management setup while Hunter has appointed Roger Greer as player coach.
