Weather permitting, there’s midweek cup action for both Bracknell Town and Berks County on Tuesday evening.
The Robins travel to Ardley United for a 7.30pm kick-off in the Perpetua Press Hellenic Floodlit Cup Quarter Final.
The sides are yet to meet in the league this season with the two encounters scheduled for 7th February and 4th March so there’s no head to head this campaign to reflect on but Mark Tallentire’s side will start favourites currently top of the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division with United in sixth place.
Ardley were due to host Bracknell in the league on Tuesday 29th November but that match was postponed due to a frozen pitch after Tallentire’s side had travelled all the way to The Playing Fields so we are hoping any planned inspection for tomorrow takes place before the Robins have set off.

The other quarter final matches see Bicester Town host Royal Wootton Bassett Town, Brimscombe & Thrupp entertain Oxford City Nomads and Fairford Town are at home against Flackwell Heath.
Reading Senior Cup
Thames Valley Premier League side Berks County travel to Summerleaze Village tomorrow night to test themselves against Uhlsport Hellenic League Division 1 East side Holyport in the Reading Invitational Challenge Cup (commonly known as the Reading Senior Cup). Kick-off at 7.45pm for this one.

‘Port have lost five of the last eight matches sitting one place above basement side Wantage Town Reserves who they defeated 9-1 but Paul Rake has scored sixteen goals this season so he’s the man that County have to watch.
Nathan Baker’s sides form is a bit better winning three and losing four of their last seven encounters but they come into this match off the back of a victory last time out.
With seventeen teams in the competition, this is the sole first round match and the victors will host Binfield who enter in the second round along with fourteen other teams including Bracknell, Ascot United, Finchampstead, Wokingham & Emmbrook and Woodley United.
With ground still frozen from the weekend and with the weather forecast not looking good, we think both matches are doubtful.
We will do our best to provide updates tomorrow but please check the clubs own Twitter accounts before setting off.
