Baker managed County in the second half of last season and had been due to take up a coaching role with the Swords this coming season but has chosen to move across to United.
A statement posted by Ascot reads: “Zak has a long association with Ascot United and has previously represented our first team and reserve sides. An experienced and talented coach Zak also played Allied Counties football and fully understands the development needs of Youth players preparing for senior football.”
